Kotelnikov Alexander Grigorievich

(? - 1829)

Russian naval officer, hydrograph.

In 1814 he entered the Marine Corps as a cadet, a year later he was promoted to midshipmen.

In 1817, sailed from Kronstadt to Calais, in 1818-1819. in the rank of midshipman on the frigate "Argus" and the brig "Commercestrax" cruised in the Gulf of Finland.

In 1820 and 1823 in the rank of lieutenant Kotelnikov served at the port of Arkhangelsk.  In 1827, he was transferred to 7 Laste crew with renaming to captains. In the same year, he participated in the list of the White Sea in the brig "Lapominka".

An island in the Karpinsky Bay near the southern coast of the southern island of Novaya Zemlya. He named P.K. Pakhtusov in 1833.
