Stoker icebreaker
"Vaigach". He
died of appendicitis during wintering and was buried at Cape Wilda
on the shore of Khariton Laptev. On
the granite slab brass plate with the inscription: "Georgiy G.
Myachin. Stoker
on the "Vaigach". He
died on June 22, 1915".
Near
the cross with one crossbar.
The islands north
of Eclipse Bay are the coast of Khariton Laptev. Named
in 1933 by the West Taimyr Hydrographic Expedition. |
