Tsebrikov Egor Ivanovich
(1800 – after 1859)
Russian admiral, participant of the
Russian-Turkish war of 1828–1829.
Born in Kharkov province in the family of the State Councilor.
In 1811 he entered the Naval Cadet Corps, after which in 1815 he
was promoted to midshipmen, and in 1818 - to the midshipmen and
served in the Baltic Fleet. Until
1826, sailed in the Baltic, Northern, Barents and White seas. In
1827, in the rank of lieutenant, in the squadron of Rear Admiral
Count Heyden, he participated in the Battle of Navarino, for which
he was awarded the Order of St.
Anna of 3 degrees with a bow. In
1828–1830 Tsebrikov
sailed in the Mediterranean, was under the blockade of the
Dardanelles and returned to Kronstadt.
In 1831–1833 on
transport "America" under the command of Lieutenant-Captain V.S. Khromchenko he
made a round-the-world voyage to Kamchatka, for which he was
promoted to lieutenant commander and awarded the Order of St.
Vladimir, 4th degree.
From 1834 Tsebrikov served in the Baltic Fleet, in 1835, for 18
maritime companies, he received the Order of St.
George, 4 degrees. In
1842, Tsebrikova was promoted to captain of rank 2, in 1846 to
captain of rank 1, and in 1854 to rear admiral. He
became the head of all the reserve companies of the Baltic Fleet; having
his flag on the steamer Hercules, he commanded a rowing flotilla on
the Kronstadt roadstead and then was appointed captain over the port
of Riga.
In 1859 he was made vice admiral with dismissal from service.
Cape at
Chekina Bay on the east coast of the northern island of
Novaya Zemlya. He
opened and named in 1835 A.K. Tsivolka. |
