Tsvetkov Konstantin Alekseevich 
 (28.04(10.05).1874–04.08.1954)


Soviet astronomer, expert in practical astronomy, Honored Scientist and Technician of the RSFSR. 
Born in Chernigov.

In 1896 he graduated from the Moscow Land Survey Institute (Moscow Institute of Engineers of Geodesy, Aerial Photography and Cartography). Upon completion during 1902–1951. He taught at his native institute, since 1917 in the rank of professor. At the same time during 1942–1954  worked at the Central Research Institute of Geodesy, Astronomy and Cartography. 
Tsvetkov was one of the organizers and managers of the optical-mechanical production “M. Tauber, K. Tsvetkov and Co.", which functioned in the period 1905–1917. He was a consultant to a number of institutions, in particular, the General Directorate of Geodesy and Cartography, supervised the compilation of numerous manuals for the production of astronomic-geodetic works, was the author of courses on practical astronomy, spherical and general astronomy. 
Cape, Spit and the river on the east coast of Taimyr south of the bay of Maria Pronchishcheva. Cape called in 1936 by astronomer G.A. 
Avsyuk.
